This rubber tip called Coronel, because of its crown shape, was used at the top of equestrian jousting spears to retain splinters of wood when the spear broke on the opposing shield.
It can also be used at the rear end of a spear or a polearm in order to improve safety when hitting with the end of the weapon.
This rubber molding effectively absorbs shock and enhances the safety of the weapon.
In addition it adapts perfectly on the square wooden handles.
