This rapier is the result of a collaboration between HF Armory and the GDF club, specialists in rapier fencing. This weapon incorporates the essential characteristics of transitional rapiers from the early 17th century, a period when these swords, still robust enough for cutting, already excelled in thrusting techniques that would make them famous.

Its diamond-section blade, forged from 60s2a steel hardened to 51-53 HRC, offers the necessary rigidity for precise blade work while maintaining a reassuring flexibility in the weak part of the blade. The weight and balance (940-1050g for 124 cm) perfectly meet the needs of historical rapier fencing, allowing for both thrusting techniques and secondary cuts described in the treatises of Giganti or Capo Ferro.

The "tazza" guard (cup-shaped) is directly inspired by Spanish models. This full hand protection is essential for the covering and binding techniques described in historical sources, while offering the necessary mobility for complex wrist actions.
